MANI - Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative, currently offers counseling services to clients (people that need access to mental health care) via WhatsApp through the itunu app. They also onboard and train in-house counsellors and supervisors to counsel clients.
MANI’s process is currently manual. Clients submit their cases via google form, supervisor/admin manually retrieve these cases from the form responses and drop them in WhatsApp groups for counsellors. Emergency cases are escalated.
Counsellors reach out to the clients via WhatsApp for sessions.
