IKK classic-ePA

Since January 1st, 2021, as an insured person with IKK classic, an electronic patient file, or “ePA” for short, has been available to you free of charge. On a voluntary basis, you can use the ePA to securely manage your health data for life. As an insured person, you have sole data sovereignty and can determine whether and who should have access to your file and for how long.

In order to use the ePA, a one-time registration is necessary. This requires the creation of a new user account via the IKK classic ePA app. It is not possible to log in with your login details from our online branch.

Often you have to go to the doctor or even different doctors for every little thing. There you will be double and triple checked and there will usually be a lot of paperwork. It could be so much easier: with the electronic patient file. It is the personal digital storage location for your health data, like a safe that only you have the key to and can decide what data you want to put in it and share.

With your approval, doctors can store diagnoses, findings or medication plans for you in the ePA. And many more features are planned in the future. If a doctor needs your findings or documents, he or she will first need the appropriate key, i.e. explicit approval from you. Of course, you don't always have to carry a safe with you, but you can easily transfer your data online and digitally.

Unnecessary visits to the doctor are now a thing of the past. This makes your life much easier and at the same time relieves the burden on those involved in the healthcare system. You always keep track of your health data - and have your medication plan quickly at hand. With the ePA you can prevent double examinations and save yourself and the doctors a lot of time and valuable nerves.

SECURITY:

As a statutory health insurance company, we ensure the best possible protection of your health data. To ensure that only you or people authorized by you have access to your ePA, we will securely identify you once. To do this, use one of the following options:

- Activation code: We will identify you at one of our service centers and give you an activation code.

- POSTIDENT: Choose from identification at the post office or with your electronic ID card.

- Health card (eGK): Use your NFC-enabled electronic health card including the associated PIN.

FURTHER DEVELOPMENT:

The app is continually being developed in accordance with legal requirements.
