TimeBack

Block distracting apps, hide Reels and Shorts, and cut your screen time without giving up the apps you need. TimeBack is a free app blocker and screen time tracker with a daily social media goal. No ads, no account.

🚫 BLOCK REELS AND SHORTS, KEEP THE APP

Stop the scroll at the source. Hide Instagram Reels, Stories and Explore, YouTube Shorts, TikTok's For You feed, Facebook Reels and Stories, X's video feed and Snapchat Spotlight, while messages, search and everything else keep working.

🎯 SET A DAILY SOCIAL MEDIA GOAL

Choose how much time a day your social apps get. The slider shows what research suggests: about 30 minutes a day is linked to better wellbeing, 2 h 21 m is the global average. A friendly brain shows how your goal feels. Activate it, and once you reach the goal your social apps pause until midnight.

⏱️ APP BLOCKER WITH SCHEDULES AND LIMITS

• Block any app right now for a set time

• Block on a schedule: evenings, work hours, weekends

• Daily limit or session limit per app

• A calm block screen with your usage for the day and the week

📊 SCREEN TIME TRACKER

Today's total, each app's share and an hour-by-hour chart, from Android's own usage statistics. Seven days of history.

🌐 WEBSITE BLOCKER

Add a website and it is blocked in Chrome, Brave, Edge, Samsung Internet and Firefox.

🔕 A DIGITAL DETOX THAT STAYS QUIET

At most one progress notification a day, never at night, always silent. No streaks to protect, no nagging.

🔒 FREE, NO ADS, NO ACCOUNT

Every feature is free. Your screen time, blocks and settings stay on your phone and are never sent anywhere. To measure our own advertising campaigns, the app shares your device's advertising ID with our attribution partner; you can reset it at any time in Android settings.

🔑 PERMISSIONS, AND WHY

• Usage access: to show your screen time and apply limits

• Display over other apps: to show the block screen

• Accessibility: only if you switch on Reels, Shorts or website blocking, so TimeBack can recognise the feed or website you chose. It keeps nothing of what it sees.

Each permission is asked for only when needed and can be refused.

Stop doomscrolling, beat phone addiction and get your evenings back. Start with one goal today.
