Dream Waves

This app features six pages: five dedicated to brainwave frequencies - Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma - and one dedicated to relaxing music waves. Each brainwave page includes two independent tone generators (Left and Right) with separate volume and frequency controls. Their sinusoidal waves can be adjusted between 50 Hz and 500 Hz.

Binaural sounds are auditory illusions produced when two tones of slightly different frequencies are presented separately to each ear. The brain perceives the frequency difference as a rhythmic beat, which can influence brainwave activity. Different binaural beat ranges correspond to specific brainwave patterns and may help guide various mental states such as meditation, concentration, relaxation, or deep sleep.

Below is a brief overview of each brainwave state and its associated effects:

1. Delta Waves (0.5-4 Hz)

Slowest brainwaves, dominant during deep, dreamless sleep.

Essential for physical healing, regeneration, and restorative sleep.

High delta activity is associated with unconsciousness or very deep meditation.

2. Theta Waves (4-8 Hz)

Present during deep relaxation, light sleep, or meditative states.

3. Alpha Waves (8-12 Hz)

How It Works

For the best experience:

- Wear headphones correctly - ensure the L and R sides are properly oriented.

- If using Bluetooth headphones, pair and connect them before opening the app.

- Choose a quiet environment and close any other apps that generate sound.

- Adjust your phone's media volume; medium level is a good starting point.

- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the frequency difference between ears.

- Tap the large Play button to start the tone generators.

- Swipe the volume sliders up or down to find your preferred listening level.

- Swipe the frequency sliders to fine-tune the tone values.

- Tap Stop to end your session.
