1) The insertion of the 9th digit is made only in contacts in the phone's internal memory. If your contacts are stored in SIMCARD, use the resources of your schedule to copy the same to the device's internal memory.

2) Timing with remote accounts like Google, Yahoo and Samsung manipulate the contact list. If after inserting the 9 digit number back to the original format "alone", check the timing with these accounts. Samsung account for example usually bounce back into shape after 1 day.
