Pocket cards (TaKa) are a popular summary of important operational information for the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), the (volunteer) fire department (FW/FFW), and other emergency services.
Paper versions are impractical to carry and fragile. Since most emergency responders carry their smartphones anyway, the digital cards take up no space. The information is also easier to update and can be scaled for optimal readability, ensuring that even details in diagrams are visible. The pocket cards are also suitable for exam preparation or training exercises.
The pocket cards in the app are newly created and not identical to some of the existing ones. The goal is to re-evaluate and reorganize the information and make it available in one central location.
All information is available offline without any additional downloads.
The app is free of advertising, in-app purchases, and other annoying spam.
You can create your own pocket card and integrate it as an SVG file. The file must be located in the folder shown in the settings.
Access to your own files is only required for the single file associated with your personal pocket card. This access is granted externally through the Android user sharing function. The app functions without limitations even without this sharing (but then you won't have a personal pocket card).
