How to Play Omi4:

Objective:

Win the highest number of tricks each round to earn tokens and

secure victory.

Dealing Cards:

Omi4 uses a 32-card deck (from the standard 52-card pack).

Each player receives two batches of four cards, totaling eight

cards per player.

Choosing the Trump Suit:

The player to the dealer’s right selects the trump suit,

which outranks all other suits for that round.

Leading the First Trick:

The player who chose the trump suit leads the first trick.

Other players must follow suit if possible; otherwise,

they may play any card.

Winning Tricks:

The highest card of the suit led wins the trick unless a trump

card is played. If a trump is played, the highest trump wins.

The trick winner leads the next round.

Counting Tricks & Tokens:

5–7 tricks with the trump suit: 1 token for the trump

team. 5–7 tricks without the trump suit: 2 tokens

for the other team.

Winning all 8 tricks: 3 tokens (“Kapothi”).

If both teams win 4 tricks each, no tokens transfer;

the next winning team earns an extra token.

Winning the Game:

The first team to reach 10 tokens or more wins the game

and becomes the ultimate Sinhala Omi champion!
