The Dutch Confession of Faith (NGB, Latin: Confessio Belgica) is the lawful Christian confession of the Dutch churches that includes the main content of the doctrine in connection with God and the eternal salvation of souls.
In a time of great persecution of Protestant Churches, this Confession was written by Guido de Bres. It was in the year 1561 in the Southern Netherlands (today Belgium). Several Synods in the 16th century as well as the National Synod of Dordrecht (1618-1619) accepted it as one of the Confessions of the Reformed Churches.
