1. What is the app all about?

Kannada Alphabet (Aksharamale) App is a way of for kids to learn basics of Kannada alphabet/akshara or for any first-time learners. This app shows various sections like Kannada Varnmala, Kannada Numbers, and more feature will be added later..

In short,

This app is about introducing Kannada to the tiny toddlers. (and for us parents to brush up and remember the good old school days :) )

2. What does the app contain?

At present the app contains fun interactive elements of the Kannada Aksharamala and we will be adding more features like vegetables, shapes, months and many more

3. When was the app launched?

The beta version app was first launched on Nov 22, 2021

4. Why was the app launched?

The initial idea was to build a fun interactive ABC flashcard app for my daughter to help her familiarise with the English alphabet. As we speak Kannada at home she understands and speaks Kannada really well being a 2 year old. But I realised we never taught her Kannada Akshara the way we are trying to make her familiar with the English Alphabet. This was one of the core reasons to create this app

[From my own experience]

I do believe we should give the kids a physical book rather than a mobile app.

This app can be a starting point for the kid to as an introduction, but ideally should transition into a physical book once the kids show interest to learn.
