JHC Health Guard

Health Guard is an AI powered student health management system of Jaffna Hindu College, designed to improve student wellbeing through smart and modern technology. Developed for Jaffna Hindu College, the system creates a connected digital environment where student health, nutrition, and physical activities are continuously monitored, analyzed, and improved.

The platform collects essential health data such as height, weight, and age, and automatically calculates BMI. It also tracks growth patterns over time to determine whether a student is developing within a healthy range. This enables early detection of potential health risks and allows schools to take timely action. Instead of relying on occasional checkups, Health Guard provides continuous monitoring and meaningful insights.

A key feature of the system is its AI driven analysis. Based on collected data, Health Guard provides simple and practical recommendations to students. These include improving eating habits, increasing physical activity, and maintaining a healthier daily routine. The goal is to guide students towards long term healthy lifestyles through consistent awareness and feedback.

The system includes a Smart Nutrition component that promotes better food choices. Through the Healthy Food Stall module, students can be identified using face recognition or by entering their index number through a POS style interface. When a student purchases healthy food, the system records it as a healthy action. Each entry is marked as pending and requires admin approval before points are awarded. This ensures accuracy and prevents misuse.

To encourage participation, Health Guard uses a health points system. Students receive points for positive actions such as healthy food consumption and activity participation. These points contribute to a leaderboard that motivates students to maintain healthy habits in a competitive and engaging way.

The platform also supports sports and activity tracking. Teachers and sports coaches can record student participation, attendance, and activities. This data becomes part of the student’s overall health profile, giving a complete view of their wellbeing.

Each student has a Digital Health Passport with a QR code, allowing quick access to key health information. This modern approach reduces manual records and improves accessibility during school activities or health checks.

Health Guard is designed with role based dashboards. Administrators manage the system, approve activities, and monitor overall performance. Teachers manage student data within their classes, while coaches track sports and fitness activities. This structured system ensures efficient management and data accuracy.

The user interface is clean, modern, and easy to use. The POS style food system, simple dashboards, and clear data presentation make the platform accessible for both students and staff. It is designed to work efficiently in real school environments with minimal complexity.
