Jessica Michelle Chastain is an American actress, voice-over artist and producer. Chastain

was born and raised in Northern California, developing an interest in acting at an early age.

She made her professional theater debut in 1998 as Juliet in a production of Romeo and

Juliet. She studied acting at the Juilliard School and thereafter signed a contract with

television producer John Wells. Chastain has made supporting appearances on several

television series, including ER and Law & Order: Trial by Jury. She has also participated in

theater productions of O Jardim das Cerejeiras and Salomé.
