IRC Chat on your phone without the terminal. This IRC client puts the same channels and communities behind a chat UI that taps and scrolls like the apps already on your home screen, so you stop fighting the tool and start talking. Open it, pick a server, tap a channel, start talking.
Twelve networks come preloaded: Libera.Chat, OFTC, Rizon, EFnet and more. Pick one to connect. Joining a channel, leaving it, opening a DM, or tweaking notifications — every one of those is a regular button. No slash commands to memorize and no ports to configure. Encryption is on by default.
Linux tinkerers and open source maintainers, plus hobbyist groups that never left IRC. Those conversations are still happening, and the people running them haven't gone anywhere. This IRC client is for joining them without relearning the protocol.
Messages land as bubbles. Yours on the right, others on the left, each nickname in its own automatic color so you can tell who's talking at a glance. Join and leave notices sit quietly in the center. Links render preview cards, image URLs show as inline thumbnails. IRC bold and italic, along with underline and color, are handled by a toolbar above the keyboard, and it renders correctly for people using other IRC clients too. When the connection drops, the app reconnects and rejoins every channel automatically.
If someone in IRC Chat makes you uncomfortable, hit block on their profile. Their messages and DMs disappear from your view immediately. For harassment or inappropriate content, use the in-app report menu to send us a report. We review reports within 24 hours and take action where needed. Per-channel notifications can show everything or only mentions, and any channel can be muted outright when you don't want to be pinged.
IRC Chat is just people talking. A good IRC client should stay out of the way. Open it, walk in, start talking. That's it.
