Table tennis, another name for ping pong, is a fast-paced, fiercely competitive indoor activity that is played on a rectangular table that is separated by a net. A lightweight ball is hit back and forth over the net by two or four players using paddles. Making the ball land on the other player's side of the table without them successfully returning it is the goal in order to score points.
