The greek text to speech is a sophisticated system of text to speech, which uses DIFONO fusion technology to produce audio from text. The technology was based on dissertation research in Embedded Systems Department of Informatics, TEI of Athens. The creators of the greek text to speech is Lanitis Timothy and Damigos Vangelis.
Instructions for the greek text to speech
- Use the audio player button to play, stop or stop the sound if you press and hold.
- By the button x, lower left of the screen, clears the text if you press and hold, interrupted the speech.
- When the audio is playing, you can tap on a word and the speech will continue playing from there.
- Also when you are not playing the sound, place the cursor on a point in the text and then press and hold it to start the speech from there.
- With the arrow or swipe to the left of the screen, open the application menu.
- The menu offers possibilities to change theme, change the color of the text, open a text file from your device, provide a URL and download the text of a Web page and save the sound of the text to a WAV file , which will be stored as sound.wav in GreekTTS folder.
- You can also use the Greek Text To Speech as the default Text To Speech of your Android device.
