Boxsight

Boxsight turns your phone into a portable lab for on-device object detection. Point the camera at the world and run modern detectors in real time, entirely on the device. No cloud, no account, no image leaves your phone.

Built for developers, researchers and teams who need to evaluate models in the field, it uses CameraX for a smooth live preview and two inference runtimes behind one interface: ONNX Runtime for .onnx models, on NNAPI or CPU, and TensorFlow Lite (LiteRT) for .tflite ones, on GPU, NNAPI or CPU. The runtime follows the file extension, so you pick it by picking a model.

HOW IT WORKS

Frames from the camera are analyzed on a background thread and the results are drawn as an overlay on top of the live preview. Acceleration is chosen automatically — GPU, then NNAPI, then CPU for .tflite models; NNAPI, then CPU for .onnx ones — and the HUD names the runtime and the backend that really ran, so a silent fallback is something you can see rather than something you have to guess.

Free runs the fast nano detectors. Pro runs the accurate ones, and your own.

Pro starts with a 7-day free trial, and the trial includes the whole of Pro — nothing is held back for later:

• YOLO11s, YOLO26s and RF-DETR nano — the accurate detectors, with RF-DETR downloaded on demand so the install stays small

• Import your own .onnx and .tflite models

• Confidence, NMS IoU and the GPU/NNAPI/CPU selector

• Export the detection log as CSV or JSON, and save annotated frames

Real-time detection, the live HUD and the five bundled nano detectors stay free and are not part of the subscription.

When the 7 days end the trial becomes a paid auto-renewing subscription, monthly or annual, billed through your Google Play account, unless you cancel before then. Cancel at any time from the Play Store: cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps your access until the period you have paid for ends. Prices appear in your local currency, taxes included where they apply.

PRIVACY

Camera frames are processed on the device and are never uploaded: no image and no detection leaves the phone. The app reports crashes and anonymous usage statistics so we can fix what breaks.
