App Pause: Close Apps for You

Closing apps one by one takes time. App Pause does the repeated tapping for you.

How it works

1. Open App Pause.

2. Tap the shield on any app you want to leave alone.

3. Tap Close Apps.

4. App Pause works through the other apps one by one.

5. Watch the progress, cancel at any time, and see what closed or was skipped.

You stay in control

- Your apps are ready when you open App Pause.

- You only choose the apps to leave alone.

- Protected apps stay excluded every time you close apps.

- Preinstalled apps are optional.

- Recent app detection is optional.

Why App Pause needs Accessibility

Android requires Accessibility permission so App Pause can open each app's App info screen and tap the Android Force stop button for you.

This happens only after you tap Close Apps. App Pause does not read your messages, passwords, notifications, websites, or the content inside your other apps.

- Your app choices and results stay on your device.

Good to know

Force stopping an app can pause its notifications, music, downloads, alarms, or other work until you open it again. Some apps cannot be stopped because Android or your phone maker protects them. App Pause safely skips anything it cannot confirm.

Recent app detection

If you turn on recent app detection, Android may ask for Usage Access. App Pause uses it only on your device to show recently used apps. Your usage history is not sent anywhere.
