ELD COMPLIANCE & BACKGROUND CONNECTIVITY

VisionTrack ELD is an FMCSA-registered electronic logbook designed to ensure full compliance with DOT regulations (CFR 49 Sections 395.15 and 395.20). To maintain mandatory safety standards, the app utilizes persistent foreground services for:

ELD Hardware Sync: Maintains a continuous Bluetooth connection to the vehicle's ECM to record real-time engine data (odometer, engine hours).

Automated Location Logging: Records mandatory GPS coordinates at duty status changes and 60-minute intervals while moving, even when the app is minimized.

Compliance Data Sync: Ensures secure, uninterrupted transfer of driver logs to carrier servers to prevent data loss during roadside inspections.

These services are user-initiated and display a persistent notification while active to ensure driver awareness and regulatory transparency.
