🔔 BACKGROUND SERVICE INFORMATION

Vigilet uses foreground services to ensure your safety features work reliably:

• Safety Monitoring Service: Runs in background to deliver check-in reminders at scheduled times and alert guardians immediately when users don't respond. This is critical for elderly safety - delayed alerts could put vulnerable users at risk.

• Call Service: Uses camera and microphone during video/audio calls to enable real-time family communication. Keeps calls active when app is minimized so you never miss an emergency call.

• Keep-Alive Service: Ensures timer alerts work on devices with aggressive battery management (Huawei, Honor, Oppo, Xiaomi). Without this, safety reminders may not be delivered.

These services use minimal battery and only activate during scheduled check-ins or active calls. Your safety is our priority.
