The vMix Controller for Android Mobile refers to the primary methods used to control the vMix live video production software remotely from an Android smartphone or tablet.
Functionality: Provides a interface for switching inputs, firing Shortcuts, editing Titles, and acting as a wireless Tally light.
Mechanism: Your vMix computer hosts a web page accessed via your local network (Wi-Fi).
Access:
- Requires installing a dedicated vMix app from web.
- You must use vMix version 20 or higher.
- To get the IP address, open the vMix application, then click on Settings and select the Web Controller menu.
- Ensure your vMix application is allowed access through the Windows Defender Firewall.
You can control vMix from an Android device using either the free and official browser-based Web Controller or a feature-rich, customizable third-party app.
