iColumn is powerful tool to analyze Reinforced Concrete Columns to obtain the Axial Load – Bending Moment Interaction Diagram, of a 3D projected volume in both axis (X and Y)

MAIN FEATURES

iColumn has been designed to understand the behavior of reinforced column and make easy for the users, the complex analysis to obtain the actual strength of the member.

The App use a powerful algorithm to make a layer analysis to obtain the strength of the column for each combination of Axial Force and Bending Moment.

The simply introduction of data, allows the user to set any arrangement of reinforced bars and introduced the section and materials properties.

The program automatically rotates the section to generate the interaction curve in X-X and Y-Y direction, considering the arrangement set of the rebar.

The graphic interface allows the users to have and interaction between the data and the generated section of the column and could be change any time.

Besides, the actual strength of the column represented by the interaction curve, the code is able to draw the design strength curve, which is the reduced strength by the factor according to the code ACI318-14, and separates the condition if the failure lays either in compression or tension.

The graphic presents 4 curves, which characterize the actual and design strength of the section in both directions. In the legend the user could hide the view of the curve of the main interest.

Additionally, the iColumn generates the main design values of the section as Reinforcement ratio, and the balance failure in both directions (X and Y).
