Mothwick

Mothwick is a portrait 3D lantern-alignment puzzle set in a quiet court where migrating moths depend on paths of living light. The current playable build contains 16 complete levels across four routes: Dew Path, Copper Bough, Ember Hollow, and Crown Reach. Each route introduces its own lantern structure, fixed sleeves, linked rotations, height changes, and exit arrangements. The challenge grows from a clear single-active-layer introduction into compact mechanical puzzles where one control may influence several parts of the lantern.

Every level is a short run made of four consecutive moth flights. After a successful flight, choose a Flame Oath that changes the rules for the remaining journey. An oath may widen path tolerance, alter the cost of an adjustment, or grant limited assistance, so each choice shapes how you approach the next chamber. The 16 levels contain 64 flight imprints in total. Completing the fourth and final flight of each level unlocks its final imprint for the Wing Archive, which provides 16 final archive display entries. Lantern Seals, completion records, unlocked imprints, and settings persist between sessions. A typical run takes about 3-5 minutes.

Controls

Mothwick is designed around one-finger touch input and clear on-screen buttons. First, tap a lit sleeve layer. Use the left and right buttons to rotate the current layer, or the up and down buttons to change its height. Smart Next can perform one step from the current shortest legal solution; it is an optional assist and consumes a normal move. In the current interface, Smart Next is the evolved Preview assist button, while the light-path Preview refreshes automatically after adjustments. When the apertures are connected, tap Release to send the moth through the lantern. Orbit View is optional, and play does not require twin sticks, multi-touch zoom, or complicated gestures.

Goal

Align the nested sleeves within the available move limit, connect the flame path through every required opening, and Release the moth safely. Complete all four flights to rekindle the lantern and unlock that level's final archive imprint. Reading linked mechanisms, preserving moves, and selecting the right Flame Oath are the keys to mastering the later routes.

Rewarded ads are optional choices initiated by the player. They can be used for daily Lantern Seals, one free Flame Oath redraw, recovery after a failed stage, or a doubled completion reward. Progress does not require watching a rewarded ad. Some return navigation may use a low-frequency interstitial with a cooldown; an unavailable or timed-out ad does not block the game flow. Mothwick is currently a single-player puzzle experience and does not promise online multiplayer, real-time competition, or social network play.
