Use your own game data
KartPad requires game data made with PadForge on your own computer from your own Mario Kart Wii disc. Supported disc images are PAL Europe RMCP01 revision 0 in ISO, WBFS, or RVZ format. Other game regions are not supported. Neither KartPad nor PadForge includes game files or console keys.
KartPad uses native static recompilation for Mario Kart Wii. On Android, it uses Vulkan, while Apple platforms use Metal. You can use touch controls, motion steering, or supported controllers. The app also includes a game chooser and tools for managing prepared game data.
Check Android compatibility first
The KartPad APK needs an ARM64 Android phone or tablet with Vulkan support and Android 9 or newer. Preparing the data also requires a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer. Allow about 16 GB of free computer storage for PadForge tools and build files, plus at least 6 GB on the device for game data.
