e-Watch

An application for Android Wear 2.0 to be Safe.

The e-Watch monitor application can send out an alert to CareBuilder system. In CareBuilder system a preselected alarm-protocol will be activated.

This Alarm-protocol will send out the alert to any person, group of persons or a personal group of contacts which can be family or professional Caregivers.

This broadcasting to groups is a big difference compared to the traditional alarm devices.

Functionality of e-Watch app:

★ A heart rate monitor - this is a personal monitoring feature that allows the client or the caregiver to measure the wearer's heart rate in real time.

Millions of people experience irregular or abnormal heartbeats, called arrhythmia, at some point in their lives. Most of the time, they are harmless and happen in healthy people free of heart disease. Specific heartbeat frequencies can indicate the health condition of the wearer should be checked.

★ A GPS tracking monitor - This functionality enables you to locate the client that is wearing the e-Watch in case an alarm is made by the client/e-Watch. It is also possible to define a specific area in google maps. When the e-Watch (client) is located outside of this area an alarm can be activated.

In an emergency situation, it is easy to locate the person in need. It is also very useful for people that suffer from dementia.

★ A fall detection monitor. - This feature detects when the e-Watch is moving down in a way that indicates the person who is wearing the e-Watch is falling.

Falls and fall-related injuries are major incidents, especially for elderly people, which often mark the onset of major deterioration of health. In many cases when a person falls, this person is not able to make an alarm. With this feature, the alarm is initiated automatically. This prevents people from having to wait on the floor for a long time.

★ An SOS button unit - The hardware button of the Smartwatch can be configured to send alarm. This will trigger an alarm-protocol in CareBuilder system.

Making the home a safe place as we age is very important and should be of primary concern. One of the most innovative and effective ways we can reduce the risks of injury at home is to install and use a medical alert system that is activated by one push on the button.

★ A Phone answering machine - There are two possibilities for answering an incoming call

(1) waiting arbitrarily long for operator intervention, or

(2) automatically callback after a specified number of rings and caller number is in your auto-answer list.
