Drum Machine: Beat Sequencer

Build beats in seconds. Every feature free.

Drum Machine: Beat Sequencer is a step sequencer and beat maker with four original drum kits, live drum pads, swing, pattern chains and WAV export. Sketch a groove, program a drum loop to practise over, or make a backing beat for your song. For drummers, guitarists, bass players, producers, music students and anyone who wants a rhythm to play along with.

THE STEP GRID

• 8 tracks × 16 steps, up to 64 steps over several pages. Tap a cell to place a hit, drag to fill a row in one go.

• Three velocity levels on every step: ghost note, normal and accent.

• Ratchets: up to 4 hits inside one step, for rolls and fast hi-hat runs.

• 1/16 grid or triplets.

4 ORIGINAL KITS

• Acoustic: a warm studio drum kit.

• Electronic: classic analog drum machine sounds, with a deep boom kick and crisp hats.

• Vintage: the short, soft sounds of an old rhythm box.

• Lo-fi: gritty, dusty sampler sounds.

• Switch kit on the fly while the beat plays.

MIXER

• For every track: volume, pan, pitch ±12 semitones, decay, mute and solo.

TEMPO AND GROOVE

• 40 to 240 BPM, with tap tempo.

• Swing from 50% (straight) to 75%, for a laid-back, human feel.

PATTERNS AND SONGS

• 8 patterns, A to H, with copy, paste and clear.

• 11 genre presets to start from: Rock, Pop, Funk, Hip-hop, House, Techno, Reggae, Bossa nova, Shuffle, 6/8 ballad and Trap.

• Song mode: chain patterns (A A B A C…) to build a whole arrangement.

LIVE DRUM PADS

• 8 pads to finger drum by hand, with quantized recording straight into the pattern.

PROJECTS AND EXPORT

• Save your projects on the device: name, kit, patterns and mixer.

• Undo and redo for every edit.

• Export the pattern or the song, repeated as many times as you like, as a 48 kHz stereo WAV file, and send it anywhere from the share sheet. On Android it is also saved in your Music folder.

PERFECT FOR

• Drum loops and backing beats to practise guitar, bass, keys or singing.

• Hip-hop, trap, house and techno beat making on the go.

• Song ideas and rhythm sketches before the studio.
