Is your Android phone running an Odexed or Deodexed ROM? Do you even know? All unrooted Android devices come with an Odexed ROM. But with root, you can install a Deodexed ROM, which allows you to customize your device! Of course, a Deodexed ROM is not a requirement upon rooting your phone. You can still install tweaks and mods without Deodexing. But for some devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S5, you currently need a Deodexed ROM to run the Xposed module.
