Countdown | Days until & Since

Count down the days until the things you look forward to, and count up the days since the moments that matter. Countdown | Days until & Since is a simple day counter for birthdays, vacations, weddings, trips, exams and anniversaries, with reminders, home screen widgets and your own photos.

Add a date once and the app takes care of the rest. Before the day it counts down; after it, it keeps counting up. A birthday countdown turns into days since the moment it has passed, and the day you met, moved or started a new job becomes an anniversary tracker without any extra setup.

Days until and days since

- Countdowns and count ups in one list, split into Upcoming and Past

- A calendar-correct breakdown in years, months, weeks and days, plus a live clock in hours and minutes (or seconds) for events with a time

- Repeating events: yearly, monthly, quarterly, weekly, every two weeks, or patterns like the 2nd Tuesday of the month

- Lunar birthdays and festivals that move: repeat every year on the lunar, Hindu, Islamic or Hebrew calendar, around Easter, or on Diwali or Holi, with every date worked out for you

- Multi-day events with an end date: a countdown to the start, Happening now while it is on, and days since once it is over

- Count in weeks as a date gets close, so the last stretch reads 5 weeks instead of 1 month, 4 days

- A note on every event, and the total number of days since a repeating event first began

Reminders you can count on

- Up to 25 reminders per event: 1 week before, on the day, 100 days since

- Repeating reminders such as every month or every 100 days, so no milestone slips by

- Each notification shows the event's own background and the real time left

- Reminders missed while your phone was off still arrive afterwards

- A notification history keeps every reminder you have received

Widgets and calendar

- Three home screen widgets, each on your event's own photo or color: your next event (or the one you choose), a small day count, and a list

- Choose what the list shows: upcoming, past or pinned events, sorted your way, with new events added automatically

- Add an event to any calendar on your phone, Google Calendar included, and update it when you edit the event

Start from a holiday

- Tap + to start a new event, then pick a holiday from the row at the top to fill it in: Christmas, New Year, Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Lunar New Year, Ramadan, Eid, Diwali, Holi, Hanukkah and more, depending on where you are

- Each one opens on its next date, already set to repeat on its own calendar

Make it yours

- Backgrounds from gradients, a collection of photos (travel, nature, cities, celebrations, love, winter) or a picture from your own gallery

- Pin favorites to the top in your own order, and sort the rest by date or name

- Share an event as an image card with the current count, or as a text message

- Dark mode, Material You dynamic colors, and 42 languages, including Arabic, Hebrew and Urdu written right to left

Backup and sync with your own Google Drive

- Back up your events, reminders, photos and settings to your own Google Drive, in a private app folder no other app can see

- Automatic backups every night, every week or every month, or right away with Back up now

- Restore on a new phone in a few taps; every device keeps its own backup

- Sync across devices: add or change an event on your phone and it shows up on your tablet too, with its photo and reminders, and your settings if you like

Use it as a birthday countdown, wedding countdown, vacation or holiday countdown, Christmas or Ramadan countdown, lunar birthday reminder, due date countdown, exam or retirement countdown, a relationship anniversary tracker, or to count the days since you quit smoking. Whatever you are waiting for or looking back on, it is one glance away.
