Zebra SmartOSUpdater

Zebra SmartOSUpdater is an Android application running in the background which keeps monitoring the specified server for availability of suitable update packages and upon availability, download and install them in the background. This solution is intended to be use by approved users only. Contact your local Zebra representative for access and documentation.

This release of the application supports following features.

• • Compatible with Zebra TC51, TC52, TC57, TC57x, TC21, ET40, ET45 , HC50, HC20 devices

• Select the latest update package from specified server

• Support FTP, FTPS, HTTP and HTTPS protocols

• Supports Managed Configurations & Feedback

• Update device with or without user consent

• Configurable options such as Host, Username, Password, etc.

• Notify the user on device updates

• Ability to postpone updates

• Compatible with Android 8, 10, 11 and 13

• Check for updates on boot completion of the device

• Check for updates on configured time intervals

• Check for updates by EMM command

• Check for updates upon tapping on launcher icon of the application

• Supports device upgrade across Android OS flavors

• File validation after downloading

• Display current configuration on the notification panel

• Display errors on the notification panel
