X-TaG Link is the on-field app for the X-TaG laser tag system: connect your headset
via Bluetooth and it shows you, in real time, what's happening in the game.
A MAP THAT WORKS WHERE YOU PLAY
The cartography is ours, generated by OpenStreetMap and the Copernicus elevation model,
and can be downloaded to your phone before going onto the field: you choose the
square you need and take it with you: a playing area weighs just a few megabytes.
There's no internet connection during the game, and a map that loads in bits and pieces isn't a map at all.
Four backgrounds: a topographic map with contour lines (the only one that
works without internet), an aerial photo, a hybrid map that draws curves and paths
over the photo, and Outdoor. Night mode for playing in the dark.
YOUR HEADSET, CLEAR
Life, armor, ammunition, and team always under control. The hit log
tells who hit you and when. End-of-match statistics
collect the route traveled, times, and game data.
WIRELESS SETUP
All device parameters are read and written from the phone via
Bluetooth: weapons, damage, respawn times, infrared power.
INTEGRATED WITH ECHOONE
If the organizer uses the EchoOne platform, the app receives scenarios,
active zones, and objectives, and sends your position to the referee. It also works
offline, with the scenario downloaded before the match.
REQUIRES AN X-TaG DEVICE
This app is not a standalone game: it communicates with the X-TaG hardware. Without a headset
or a compatible MPD, there's nothing to display.
