Vigil

Vigil is a sober record of the discipline you keep.

no ads. no telemetry. no accounts. no streaks-shaming. no notifications you didn't choose. nothing about you leaves your device.

what it does:

- log a daily practice. movement, stillness, study, prayer. duration or repetitions, your pick.

- one note for the day. it stays as you log; it clears at midnight.

- a quiet streak count. days you held the watch.

- a history. days, in reverse. what you did, what you noted.

- memento mori. the days you have left, approximately. enough to focus the mind.

what it doesn't do:

- it doesn't congratulate you. it doesn't shame you. it doesn't gamify you.

- it doesn't sync to a cloud. it doesn't ask for an account.

- it doesn't sell your data. there is no data to sell. the database is on your phone.

how it pays for itself:

- it doesn't, on its own. if it has held a vigil with you, you can repay the work via a single in-app purchase. nothing functional unlocks. it's an honest tip jar.
