Jacques Souza and Derek Brunson will lead the UFC tournament on FOX 27

The middle bout between Ronaldo "Jacare" Sousa and Derek Branson will be the main event of the UFC at the FOX 27 tournament, which will be held January 27 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Last week, the fighters reported on the upcoming match in social networks, however, dispersed in when and where they will meet. Jakare said that the fight will take place on February 3 at UFC Fight Night 125 in Belem, Brazil, and Branson said that he agreed to fight a week earlier on the FOX map in North Carolina.

The UFC president, Dana White, today officially confirmed the organization of the match of the top middleweights, but did not name the date of the match, but sources close to the situation report that the match received the status of the main event on the January UFC on FOX card.

Recall that his last fight 37-year-old Jakare Sousa held in April this year, losing a technical knockout in the second round to Robert Whittaker, while the 33-year-old Derek Brunson leads a series of two early wins, consistently sending in knockouts of Daniel Kelly and Lyoto Machido.
