TV Setup is the first app to install on a new television, TV box or projector — the one that helps you put everything else in place. Download, install and organise your apps without a keyboard, a cable or a computer. Every screen is built for a remote control: large text, simple rows, and D-pad navigation that does not get you stuck.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Downloader — type a web address or a short code and the file arrives on your TV. Popular short codes are listed on screen, so there is nothing long to type with the remote.

• Install from USB or internal storage — the file installer finds APK and XAPK files on a USB stick, an SD card or the TV itself, and installs them in one press.

• Install from your phone — open a page on your phone, choose the file, and it lands on the television. No cable, no typing on the TV.

• Send files from a phone or PC — Local Send moves photos, videos, documents and installers over your own Wi-Fi. Nothing goes through the internet: the file travels straight from one device to the other.

• File manager — browse internal storage, USB drives and SD cards. Copy, move, rename, delete, and see what is filling the disk. A proper file explorer, made for a remote.

• Applications — every installed app in one list. Open one, or uninstall what you no longer use.

• Tools — device information (model, Android version, memory, storage), a network speed test, and a cleaner that frees up space.

• Browser — a simple TV browser for the times you need a page, a login or a download that only exists on the web.

MADE FOR TELEVISIONS

Most tools like this on the Play Store are phone apps that happen to open on a TV. This one is not. It is drawn for a big screen and driven entirely by the remote: no pinching, no hunting for a long press, no menus that fall off the edge. It runs on Android TV and Google TV, on ordinary Android TV boxes, and on Android projectors.

WHY IT EXISTS

A new box arrives almost empty, and everything after that is fiddly: an app you already have sits on a USB stick, a file is on your phone, a page needs a keyboard you do not own. TV Setup gathers those jobs into one place, so setting up takes minutes instead of an evening — and stays useful afterwards, every time you add something new.

PERMISSIONS, PLAINLY

• Install unknown apps — needed to install the APK or XAPK files YOU choose. Android asks for your confirmation every single time.

• Storage — to read the files you want to install, move or send.

• Network — to download what you ask for, run the speed test, and receive files from your phone.

We do not host, sell or distribute any application. TV Setup only handles files you already have or choose to download, and installs them with your confirmation. It cannot install anything on its own.
