Tile Server

TMG Portable Tile Server turns an Android phone or tablet into a self-contained geospatial and TAK edge server for disconnected, intermittent, and low-bandwidth (DDIL) operations — no cloud, no backend, no sidecar required. Maps, tracks, terrain, 3D, video, sensors, and an on-device AI assistant all run from the device on your local network or MANET.

★ COMMON OPERATING PICTURE, ON THE DEVICE

Serve maps, CoT tracks, forms, and live video to ATAK, WebTAK, browsers, Cesium, ArcGIS, and other GIS clients over Wi-Fi or a MANET. Discovery, OpenAPI, and a built-in manual make every endpoint one tap away.

★ ON-DEVICE AI GEOAGENT

A Gemma-family model runs fully in-process — no Ollama, no external service. An OpenAI-compatible local API (/v1) lets on-device tools call it directly, and a tool-calling GeoAgent can query features, run read-only DuckDB SQL, compute DEM hillshades, and plan routes by natural language.

★ LIVE CAMERA & UAS VIDEO

The device camera publishes native H.264 (+AAC) RTSP straight to the on-device video gateway (no ffmpeg binary required), with MJPEG fallback. MediaMTX serves RTSP, RTMP, HLS, WebRTC, and SRT — register UAS/NVR streams, share them to TAK channels as CoT video with sensor FOV, decode MISB 0601 KLV, and view a multi-tile grid in any browser. Capture continues when the app is backgrounded.

★ TAK / WEBTAK

3-tier channel visibility (Command / Operational / On-Demand) driven by certificate group, with mTLS on CoT by default, durable CoT history, missions, ExCheck/CASEVAC, and QR certificate enrollment for ATAK/iTAK/WinTAK.

★ ON-DEVICE SDR & REMOTEID

HackRF One/Pro over USB and BLE OpenDroneID decode ADS-B, UAT, AIS, APRS, ACARS, POCSAG/FLEX, FIS-B, DSC, Navtex, Wireless M-Bus, LoRa/LoRaWAN, and rtl_433 sensors straight to CoT and a GeoJSON/Esri stream feed (supported hardware required).

★ ARCGIS & CESIUM INTEROP

Portal/sharing façade with OAuth2, plus MapServer, ImageServer, VectorTileServer, FeatureServer (with applyEdits + attachments), SceneServer (I3S/SLPK), quantized-mesh terrain, 3D Tiles, COG, COPC, glTF/GLB, and Gaussian splats with HTTP range serving — all from your local data, no Esri license needed for serving it.

★ DUCKDB GEO-SERVER

OGC API Features, GTFS, SensorThings, a read-only Postgres wire protocol, and Valhalla routing, all on-device.

★ OFFLINE BASEMAPS & FORMS

PMTiles / Protomaps, MBTiles, GeoPackage, style catalog, MIL-STD-2525 symbology. A built-in XLSForm designer with GeoPackage + FeatureServer works fully offline.

★ HOW IT WORKS

1. Install and start the server.

2. Note the device IP (default HTTP port 8001).

3. Open Discover in a browser, or point ATAK at Marti HTTP (8001) and CoT (8087).

4. Add basemaps, GeoPackages, DEM, 3D tiles, and video on the device — or let the GeoAgent help.
