Random Team Generator & Picker

Playing with friends is more fun when the teams are fair. Team Generator makes random or balanced teams in one tap, so you spend less time picking sides and more time playing.

MADE FOR THE WAY YOU PLAY

• Tennis or padel: singles or doubles, balanced by strength, while the others wait their turn

• Ranked fives online: one team of 5 plays, and 3 friends rotate in from the queue

• A friendly 5 v 5 with 14 friends: 4 wait each match, and everyone plays about the same number of games

• 7-a-side soccer: two balanced teams picked from your 20 contacts

• Also basketball 3 v 3, volleyball, board game and trivia nights, PE class, office team building and party games

HOW IT WORKS

• Add players by name, or pick several at once from your contacts, with their photos

• Select who is playing today. Your selection is remembered

• Tap Make teams. Photos are sized so every team fits on one screen

• Tap shuffle or swipe down for a new draw, then share the teams as text

TEAMS OR PLAYERS PER TEAM

• Set a number of teams (up to 9), or a number of players per team (up to 30)

• Extra players? Leave the teams unequal in size, or send the extra players to the bench

A FAIR TURN FOR EVERYONE

• Queue: the players who have played the most wait, so turns stay even

• Tap Next match to bring the waiting players in

• Random: a new bench is drawn every time

• Teams per match: play 2 teams at a time while the rest wait

BALANCED TEAMS

• Rate each player with the - and + buttons, on a scale up to 3, 5, 10 or 100

• Balanced teams spreads strong and weak players so the teams come out even

• Each team shows its average strength with a color dot

• Prefer pure luck? Leave strength off

A GROUP FOR EVERY GAME

• Each group has its own players, match setup, team names and colors

• Pick an icon, an emoji or your own picture for each group

• One group is included. Premium lets you add more, or duplicate a group to reuse its players
