TaskLock - Chores Unlock Apps

Lock apps until chores are done.

TaskLock is a parental control app that blocks games and social apps on your child's phone until their daily tasks are complete. Tasks first → apps unlock.

Free. No account required. Works fully offline.

HOW IT WORKS

• Choose which apps to lock

• Add daily tasks or chores

• Child opens a locked app → sees their task list

• Tasks completed (and approved, if you choose) → apps unlock

No more daily negotiations. Kids know what needs doing, and screen time stops being something to argue about.

FEATURES

• App blocker — lock any app until tasks are done

• Simple daily chore and task list for kids

• Parent PIN protects all settings

• Optional schedules (e.g. school hours, bedtime)

• Screen time is earned, not negotiated

GOOD TO KNOW

• Phone, SMS, and emergency calls stay available — you only lock the apps you choose

• Runs on your child's Android device

• Set it up in a few minutes

• No root required

• Works for several kids — one install per child device

• Free version has no time limit

OPTIONAL REMOTE CONTROL (PREMIUM)

TaskLock is fully offline by default. Upgrade to manage tasks and screen time from your own phone:

• Approve tasks and rewards from anywhere

• Handle unlock requests when you're not nearby

• Sync tasks and settings between devices

• Manage several paired child devices from one parent device

• Add a second parent — no extra subscription needed

Includes a 60-day free trial. One subscription on the main parent device covers the whole household: child devices are free, and a second parent can be added at no extra cost. Cancel anytime.

PRIVACY FIRST

TaskLock is a chore and screen time tool, not a surveillance app. We don't track location, read messages, or log browsing.

In offline mode, all data stays on the device. With remote features on, only parental-control data syncs between your paired devices: tasks, completion status, approvals, and settings.

• No ads

• No tracking for advertising

• No selling personal data

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE (REQUIRED FOR APP BLOCKING)

TaskLock uses Android Accessibility only to detect when a selected app is opened and to show the lock screen.

TaskLock does NOT:

• Read screen content, messages, or passwords

• Monitor activity inside other apps

• Perform actions inside other apps

This permission is required for real-time app blocking on many Android devices. You can turn it off anytime in Settings → Accessibility.
