Swami Vivekananda was an Indian Hindu monk and a key figure in the introduction of Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the western world. He was one of the most influential philosophers and social reformers in his contemporary India and the most successful and influential missionaries of Vedanta to the Western world.

स्वामी विवेकानंद हे भारताचे थोर संत व नेते होते. विवेकानंद मूळचे बंगालचे रहिवासी होते. ते श्री रामकृष्ण परमहंस ह्यांचे शिष्य होते. रामकृष्णांचा संदेश जनमानसांत पोचवण्यासाठी त्यांनी रामकृष्ण मिशन सुरू केले.

गांधीजी म्हणतात, विवेकानंद वाङ्‌मयाच्या वाचनाने माझ्या देशभक्तीत एक हजार पटीने वाढ झाली. नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र बोस म्हणतात, आज स्वामी विवेकानंद असते, तर मी त्यांची गुरुस्थानी स्थापना केली असती.
