SmartRoadSense is a crowd sensing application for the continued monitoring of road state quality. The application uses your smartphone’s accelerometers and GPS to detect and classify irregularities of the road surface.
Data is collected anonymously and transmitted to a centralized service that aggregates contributions from all users. Results are shown on a public online map and available for download as open data.
In order to start collecting data, please firmly attach your Android device to your car (using a phone bracket or similar) and click on the central button on screen to start recording.
As long as the button stays green, everything is working as intended.
