Turn paperwork into PDFs you can use. SmartPDF brings a document scanner, PDF reader, page editor and OCR tools to Android, so you can prepare, organize and share documents from your phone.

SCAN DOCUMENTS AND CREATE PDFS

• Scan multiple pages with edge detection, automatic cropping and perspective correction. Preview, rotate and apply document filters.

• Convert images to PDF. Reorder photos and choose page size, orientation, margins and image quality, including A4 and Letter layouts.

MERGE, COMPRESS AND EDIT PAGES

• Merge PDF files in your chosen order and see individual and total page counts.

• Split a PDF by extracting selected pages. Reorder, rotate, duplicate or delete pages using thumbnails, then save a separate copy.

• Compress PDF files with three quality profiles and compare file sizes. Compression depends on the source; a smaller file is not always possible.

• Crop selected pages or the whole document.

RECOGNIZE TEXT AND MAKE PDFS SEARCHABLE

• Extract existing PDF text or run OCR on scanned pages and images, with a document language chosen separately from the interface language.

• Process a whole PDF or a page range. Edit recognized text, copy it, share it or save a TXT file.

• Create a searchable PDF with the page image and a text layer for search and selection. Recognition accuracy depends on the source and language.

SIGN, ANNOTATE AND FILL FORMS

• Create and reuse handwritten signatures, place them on a page and save a signed copy.

• Add highlights, underlines, strikethroughs, drawings, text boxes, notes and shapes. These tools add annotations; they do not rewrite the original PDF text.

• Fill standard PDF forms and save an editable or flattened copy.

PROTECT AND EXPORT

• Add password protection or remove a password you already know.

• Remove selected confidential areas in a new rasterized PDF: pages become images and the original file stays separate. This does not erase the original or its backups.

• Convert PDF pages to JPG or PNG, extract embedded images and export images individually or in a ZIP.

• Add text or image watermarks and page numbers with position and page-range settings.

READ AND ORGANIZE

• Read PDFs with zoom, thumbnails, page navigation, text search, bookmarks and remembered reading position. Share and print documents.

• Search, sort, rename and favorite library files. Use the trash to restore deleted library entries.

• Find PDFs in Android folders you authorize, including subfolders. Access depends on Android permissions; protected folders are not scanned.

• Export and restore document and signature backups.

Documents and OCR are processed on your device, without a SmartPDF account. Initial scanner or OCR model downloads and advertising require internet access. Choose a light or dark interface and keep your PDF tools together.
