About Sifu

Sifu is a third person martial arts action game that follows a student seeking revenge through Kung Fu combat.

Sifu suits players who want demanding fights where practice matters as much as quick reactions. The story follows a lone student tracking the assassins linked to their family’s death across a series of urban locations. Each stage asks you to learn enemy behavior and improve after mistakes, while the campaign keeps its focus on one continuous pursuit. Players looking to download Sifu should expect a single player action game built around repeated attempts and careful progress.

Combat and campaign features

Pak Mei Kung Fu fighting

You fight at close range with strikes, combos, dodges, parries, and counterattacks. Sifu uses Pak Mei Kung Fu as the basis for its martial arts action, so timing and distance affect every exchange. You need to read incoming attacks instead of relying on repeated button presses.

Groups that attack together

You often face several aggressive enemies at once, and they do not wait for one another before attacking. Sifu asks you to watch your position, choose which opponent to handle first, and avoid getting surrounded. As fights become busier, a successful parry or dodge can create space for a counterattack.

Objects and surroundings in each fight

You can use throwable items and improvised weapons when they are available in the area. Sifu also lets you react to nearby windows and ledges during certain encounters. These contextual actions make it useful to look around before committing to a group of enemies.

Aging after revival

You can return after defeat through a mysterious amulet, but each revival makes the character older. Sifu therefore gives another chance to continue while making every loss carry a consequence. Managing your age becomes important because repeated defeats reduce the margin for later stages.

Skills and revisiting stages

You learn from unsuccessful runs and unlock skills that expand your available techniques. Sifu encourages players to return to earlier stages with better timing, stronger knowledge of enemy patterns, and a clearer plan. This structure supports repeated runs rather than expecting every stage to be completed perfectly on the first attempt.

Sifu campaign and Arenas content

Sifu includes the full story campaign, taking the student through gang controlled neighborhoods, nightclubs, an art gallery, and corporate towers. The mobile edition has redesigned touch controls, contextual interactions, a reworked camera, and controller support. These details matter for players choosing between touch input and a compatible controller for longer combat sessions.

The free Arenas expansion adds extra combat focused content after or alongside the main campaign. It includes five game modes, nine locations, and 45 challenges. Arenas focus on refining techniques under specific conditions, making them suitable for players who want more practice with the game’s fighting system.

Martial arts presentation in Sifu

Sifu was shaped with input from Pak Mei master Benjamin Colussi. Developer Sloclap also used motion capture workshops and cultural reviews while developing the martial arts presentation. This background explains why movements, stances, and counters are central to the game’s combat style rather than simple visual effects.

How to play Sifu on Android

Start by treating each early encounter as a chance to understand movement and defense. The Sifu latest version is designed for Android touch controls, and controller support is also available. Progress comes from observing attacks, adjusting your approach, and returning to difficult stages when needed.

  1. Begin the story campaign and follow the first encounters to get familiar with movement, attacks, and defensive actions.

  2. Use strikes and combos when an opening appears, then dodge or parry when enemies begin their attacks.

  3. When several opponents close in, reposition before attacking and use nearby objects or weapons if the situation allows.

  4. If you are defeated, continue through the amulet revival, but note the character’s increased age before moving on.

  5. Return to earlier stages after unlocking skills so you can improve your run and carry better results into later locations.
