Salmo 127

1 Unless the Lord is the builder of the house, it will be useless to work in the building. If it is not the Lord who watches over the city, it will be useless for the sentry to stand guard.

2 It will be useless to get up early and sleep late, working hard for food. The Lord gives sleep to those whom He loves.

3 Children are the heritage of the Lord, a reward which he gives.

4 Like arrows in the hands of the warrior are children born in youth.

5 How happy is the man who has his quiver full of them! You will not be humiliated when facing your enemies in court.
