Does an "open" wifi access point really provide free internet access? Find out!

Some time ago, I came through an common travelling problem:

You need a Internet connection, and as you are in a foreign country, you have to use wifi.

But when searching for a wifi hotspot, two major problems turn up: You need to walk around a lot, staring at your phone display, and you will find wifi networks, which are displayed as beeing open or free, but just redirect you to some annoying login page.

To prevent this kind of situation, I wrote this app.

This app can be used to clearly identify real open networks by testing their connections.

In the simplest case, you could use this app as an advanced scanner only.

But its possibilities go much further: For example, the app could be configured to notify you as soon as an access point you search for (with direct internet access, restricted access, etc) is found.

In addition, it can automatically keep a connection to free access points, to enable you a fast and direct internet connection whenever possible. It can start on boot and as a background service, that you may not even notice it.

Advanced users can adjust all timing parameters to ensure optimal performance.

Please note that I developed this app with two test devices only. It may contain bugs and won't work on any device yet, but I'm working on it :)
