Pick the apps to block. Set schedules around your prayer times. When you reach for a blocked app, Prayer Pause steps in with something better: dhikr, Quran, a quick quiz or a moment of reflection. Break the bad phone habits and build better ones. Your digital detox, powered by your deen.

PROOF MODE
Register your prayer mat with the camera. Salah Focus then reopens your apps only after you scan that spot, so you unlock by praying, not by tapping a button. Keep up to 3 spots for home, travel and work. Matching happens on your phone and the photos never leave it. If the camera cannot read the mat after a few tries, an honor tap still lets you through.
PRIVACY
App blocking and prayer mat matching run entirely on your device. Scan photos never leave your phone. Your prayer history, streaks and blocking rules are stored only on the device: no account, no cloud sync. Prayer times are fetched using your location. Install and purchase events are shared with Meta for ad measurement. Usage analytics stay off until you turn them on in Settings. No ads. No data sold.
HOW PRAYER PAUSE USES THE ACCESSIBILITY API
App blocking is powered by Android's AccessibilityService. Prayer Pause uses it only to know which app has come to the screen, so it can show your prayer pause when you open a blocked app during a prayer window. The service cannot retrieve window content: it never reads what is on your screen, never collects what you see, and never acts on your behalf. Nothing from this service leaves your device. You can turn it off at any time in Android Settings, Accessibility.

0.2.9: pay your way. Premium now offers a prepaid month alongside subscriptions, and the paywall always shows the honest state of a purchase. The Quran pause screen now reads like the mushaf. Re-entering a blocked app always shows your pause, a pause completed around midnight counts toward the right day, and moving to a new city keeps your old prayer times until the new ones arrive. We retired the old lockscreen-style home widgets; prayer times and the daily reminder remain.
