As you reach for excellence you inspire excellence in other people. You function as a role model for your kids, your acquaintances and your co-workers. One individual in pursuit of excellence enhances the standards and demeanors of everybody around them. Your life is your keenest legacy and as you only have one life to give, give all you are able to.

You have an option. You may lift other people up or bring them down. 10 years from now when individuals consider you what do you wish them to recall? The way you boosted them or admonished them? You need to encourage people today and think of who will you encourage today? Be that individual that somebody will call 5, 10 or 20 years from now and say “thanks, I could not have done it without you.”

Individuals are most energized when they're utilizing their strengths and talents for an aim beyond themselves. To leave behind a legacy of purpose, make your life about something greater than you. While you are not going to live forever and a day you may live on through the legacy you leave behind and the favorable impact you make in the world.

I frequently think about my mother, who passed away recently, and when I think about her I don’t remember her faults and errors or the disagreements we went through. After all, who's perfect? However what I recall most about her was her love for me. She presented me a legacy of love that I now contribute with other people. Contribute a legacy of love and it will encompass generations to come.
