PadhAI

PadhAI helps a child find out exactly where they are in learning to read — and then practise at that level, for free.

The child reads aloud. The app listens through the phone's microphone, works out how the reading went, and shows a reading level. From there the child practises: letters, words, paragraphs and short stories, all read out loud.

Everything happens on the phone. The speech recognition is built into the app, so no internet connection is needed to assess or practise a reading, and no voice recording is ever uploaded.
