This application has the capability to display both indoor and outdoor temperatures around you. Application utilize the smartphone's thermistor, a Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistor designed for battery temperature monitoring, to measure external temperatures. These sensors, semiconductor components, safeguard the battery from overheating or excessive cooling by swiftly adjusting their electrical resistance based on temperature fluctuations, allowing them to interrupt the circuit for safety purposes.

How does this relate to temperatures outside the device?

During standby mode, a smartphone's battery temperature remains stable, correlating with the ambient air temperature. We leverage this characteristic for external temperature measurements.

2. Ensure your smartphone is in standby mode for accurate external temperature readings.

3. Understand that while the measurements may not be as precise as dedicated thermometers, they provide a convenient estimation of external temperature.
