New York City’s solution to protect its residents from cyber threats to their mobile devices and tablets. NYC Secure puts your privacy first: no data leaves your device.

Brought to you by NYC Cyber Command, NYC Secure alerts users to cyber threats such as:

● unsecure or “rogue” Wi-Fi networks;

● hijacking online transactions; and,

● phishing detection and education tools.

The app alerts you to threats and recommends ways you can protect your data and device.

You have the option to enable a VPN in the NYC Secure app to verify if suspicious links sent to you through text, email, a messaging app, or social media are safe or a possible phishing attempt.
