NotchHub uses the Android Accessibility Service for the following specific purposes:

1. **Overlay Rendering** — The service uses `TYPE_ACCESSIBILITY_OVERLAY` to draw a transparent touch zone and floating UI directly over your camera cutout area. This overlay type is only available to accessibility services and is required to position interactive elements above all other apps.

2. **Global Action Execution** — The service uses `performGlobalAction()` to execute system shortcuts (Home, Back, Recents, Quick Settings, Notifications) that you assign to notch gestures.

3. **Screenshot Capture** — On Android 11 and above, the service uses the `AccessibilityService.takeScreenshot()` API to capture screenshots when you trigger the screenshot gesture.

4. **Gesture Dispatch** — The service can perform gestures programmatically when needed for certain shortcut actions.

**What We Do NOT Do**

- We do NOT read or capture on-screen content (`canRetrieveWindowContent` is disabled).

- We do NOT monitor your activity or collect personal data.

- We do NOT share any data with third parties.

The Accessibility Service is used solely to enable the core functionality of turning your camera cutout into an interactive gesture zone. No screen content is accessed, read, or stored at any time.

**Notification Listener Service**

NotchHub also uses a Notification Listener Service to extract media playback information (title, artist, album art, play/pause state) from media notifications. This powers the Media widget feature. No notification content is stored or transmitted.
