Network Simulator

Simulate lag, packet loss and bandwidth limits on a real Android phone. Network Simulator helps developers and testers check how apps behave on slow or unstable networks, without root, a PC or an Android emulator.

Observe request timeouts, retries, video buffering and interrupted uploads under controlled network conditions. Start with a preset, then use multi-scenario testing, packet capture and reports when you need deeper analysis.

Simulate weak networks

• Adjust latency, jitter, packet loss and upload/download bandwidth limits.

• Choose presets such as 2G, 3G, 4G and slow Wi-Fi, or customize network conditions.

• Apply network simulation to TCP, UDP and ICMP (Ping) traffic.

Control your tests

• Select the apps you want to test under different network conditions.

• Use the floating control panel to view and switch settings during testing.

Multi-scenario and loop testing

• Arrange network stages on a timeline and switch conditions automatically.

• Combine bandwidth, latency, jitter, packet loss and stage transitions to reproduce network degradation and recovery.

• Repeat a scenario 1–99 times and view the estimated total duration.

• Keep scenario versions, step configuration snapshots and run results for issue reproduction and regression testing.

Packet capture and test reports

• Enable packet capture and network test reporting when needed.

• Export standard PCAP files for traffic analysis in compatible tools such as Wireshark.

• View upload/download latency, packet loss statistics and trends.

• View CSV or interactive HTML reports on-device, with export and sharing subject to feature access.

Domain-based network rules

• Apply network conditions to specific domains to test how an app handles partial service failures.

• Choose whitelist or blacklist mode; the two modes cannot be enabled together.

Local network simulation

Network simulation uses Android VpnService to route test traffic locally. Simulation and packet capture run on your device. For other data processing, refer to the app's privacy policy and Google Play Data safety section.
