Included in this demonstration App is the following:
¤ Single code set that is used to distribute to Desktop Browsers, Mobile Browsers and Mobile Apps.
¤ Automatically resizes the viewport (amount you can see) depending on resolution. (This example allows 960x640 - 1920x1080)
¤ Automatically scales to ensure App is always fullscreen outside of the viewport supported resolutions.
¤ Contact Us form to send e-mails to ITMatters (using a socket.io connection).
¤ Canvas Text entry. On the mobile device App it uses the CocoonJS native api call to invoke the keyboard.
¤ Includes the following 2D game mechanic examples: Side Platformer and Top Down flight and car racing examples.
¤ Custom speech bubbles.
¤ Button docking (as part of the automatic resolution resizing).
What is next?
Next will be an 'in-game' chat example (e.g. instant messenger). The server side is complete, the client side is being held back by the bugs found when using the CocoonJS Keyboard api calls.
Also in progress: Isometric game demonstration, this was initially going to be included in this project - but it will now be released as a separate application.
