As a bonus; with each new Match 3 Medieval game update released, additional hidden areas are added. You are not required locate the hidden areas in order to progress in the game, but they do have unique, surprising, funny and some times stunning elements to them. Things to do in order to unlock the hidden area differ greatly, but a few examples could be; locating a hidden object on a map or menu, obtaining a certain score, replaying a level a certain number of times, maintaining a specific winning streak, pressing the 'post to Facebook' option on a certain level, etc...

Types of game play:

• Destruction Score - Destroy items and get the required score to obtain bronze, silver, and gold stars.

• Special Items - Collect special items by destroying all objects hindering their drop to the bottom.

• Timed - Quickly obtain your goal before the hourglass runs out.

• Spread - Eliminate the medieval spreading vines, before they take over the realm.

• Collect items - Gather a required number of items for the specified types.

Additional challenges within levels include:

• Stop the plague from spreading.

• Sabotage wooden fortress barricades.

• Work around metal dragon barriers.
