Along our climate adventure routes the fascinating interactions of climate, nature and human health are made visible. Here you will learn, among other things, how the climatic conditions of historical times are still reflected in the landscape and in what way today's climatic conditions and changes affect the plant and animal world, but also the people.
The five roundabouts marked in the Teutoburg Forest and Eggegebirge with the red "K" are designed with their different lengths and degrees of difficulty so that even for less experienced hikers a suitable route is included.
Physically challenging routes are in the Eggegebirge, starting from the monasteries Dalheim (11.5km) and Hardehausen (16km), and up to Velmerstot (17km), the highest mountain in the Eggegebirge with 468 meters.
Less demanding, but no less impressive routes are in the Lippspringer forest (7.5km) and around the Hiddeser Bent (9.5km).
With the help of the app KlimaErlebnisWandern you are not only always on the right track thanks to GPS, you also get interesting information in from text, picture and podcast at the stations of the KlimaRouten. Especially the listening stories convey an exciting impression in the world of the climate.
The respective climate route can be downloaded in the app and provided with updates.
